RagWing Special Basic Canadian ultralight aircraft, by RagWing Aircraft, Ultalight Aircraft Canada.
RagWing Special Ultralight.
Ultralight Aircraft Magazine - The RagWing RW 2 Special is another of Roger Mann's unique all would aircraft designs. It is a single seat ultralight biplane similar in looks to the Pitts Special. The aircraft kit is constructed entirely of wood and covered in standard aircraft fabric covering materials. Building times are reported to be in the 350 - 500 hour range. No special tools are required, and the aircraft built in the space of a double car garage.
RagWing Special
The Rag Wing RW 2 is a biplane, taildragger, in a tractor configuration with true three axis controls. It has a center mounted stick, a steerable tailwheel via rudder pedals, and a left hand throttle. In the ultralight category power is supplied by the Kawasaki 440 A, but the airframe can handle engines from 35 to 65| horse power.
To my knowledge aircraft kits are no longer available but the Rag Wing RW 26 can still be built from plans which are available from ragwing.net
